A wonderful trip, rich in beautiful emotions.

Day 19 Mar 2005

Malindi Tour

First day of vacation and we start right away with a tour to visit Malindi. We go to the wood factory where a tribe carves objects for tourists. We pass through their villages where we are mobbed by the children. A stroll through the characteristic market.

Safari Tsavo East

A one-day safari, which I regretted so much because to fully enjoy the safari and the savannah you need at least three days! I felt a tremendous emotion entering the savannah, so beautiful and immense with its peace. Seeing up close animals I'd only seen on TV made me feel like I was inside a documentary. On the way back to the village, a visit to the Masai, thrilling to enter their homes. Seeing their dances and customs, how they light the fire etc..... Beautiful!

Boat trip

Classic boat trip, where we saw the sand tongues in Sardinia two that form with the tides.... Beautiful sea, EXCELLENT Lobsters for lunch.

Travel Tips

Protect yourselves from the sun with very high protection sunscreens, the sun is very close and burns a lot. Always wear a hat or bandana. Watch out at the airport regarding baggage weight, if I remember correctly every extra Kg costs 14€ to pay and most of the souvenirs are wooden. Bring things you no longer use, not only for the children but also for the adults, they need so much and they'll ask you for everything. Bon voyage to Everyone and Akuna Matata!
