Our holiday was unexpectedly wonderful. We stayed at the Crystal Bay; the place is beautiful and the sea and beach are certainly the best in all of Watamu. As for the excursions, please book straight away with the beach boys, don't even consider the resorts' offers! The beach boys are exceptional lads, reliable, caring and friendly. We did the 2-day/1-night safari in Tsavo East (we saw almost all the animals and stayed in a splendid lodge with a pool), the blue safari (we went to see the dolphins, the marine park and the mangrove river; they served us a delicious lunch of lobster, king prawns and octopus...) and a trip to Malindi, at a cost of 250 euros per person (negotiable). With the resort the safari cost 330 euros per person, the blue safari about 50 euros (they didn't see the dolphins and at lunch the lobster was just a dream!).

We met Domenico, a wonderful lad whom we still keep in touch with almost every day. We also did excursions with others (Mimmo, Ali, Settecolori...) all absolutely super reliable! It's only thanks to them and especially to Domenico that our holiday was unforgettable. Perhaps Africa blues is just the melancholy of leaving such beautiful places and people who enter your heart.
