The story

At last my boyfriend and I set off for Kenya, to the Barracuda Inn in Watamu. Arriving at the hotel I realised no better choice could have been made. The photos of this resort you see at the agency and online don't do it justice, because it is by far more beautiful. Not to mention the Blue Lagoon, one of the most beautiful beaches. But what's unique about the Barracuda is its position near the village and, above all, its entire staff. Once down on the beach we had our first encounter with a beach boy who would make our holiday unforgettable. With Luigi we saved a lot, but the key thing is that if the holiday went so well it's also thanks to him. He was always there for everything we wanted to do, even outside the excursions. Everywhere we went I saw people who, even weighed down by problems, kept greeting and smiling.

After resting on the first day, on the second we went to the Island of Love and then a tour of Malindi. Finally on days 3 and 4 we did the safari and stayed at the Voi Lodge, which is in the middle of the savannah and stunning. Here you can only go with the Beach Boys, because the hotel guides have their camp outside the park. On day 5 we rested and in the afternoon, again with Luigi, we went to the Timboni orphanage. On the second-to-last day we did the blue safari, wonderful!! Finally on the last day we preferred to rest and be in contact with the people. There's no better holiday; Kenya gets into your soul with its smells and its people. Thanks to my travel friends, to Luigi the best beach boy, and to the staff of the Barracuda. I hope to go back soon. If anyone would like some information I'm available, because I too read tips before leaving that turned out to be very useful.

Asante sana Kenya — Deborah
