The story

Everyone who goes to Kenya can describe the majesty of the country in their own way — its people, the smiles, the colours, the dignified poverty, the markets, the scents, the beaches, the immense spaces of its parks and savannah, the wild animals... but..... This is another story: one of abuse and creeping RACISM against those who are masters in their own home. Well, now I'll explain, and please, if you travel to Kenya — specifically to this village resort, otherwise stunning — I ask you to check for yourself..... This "Noble Lady", who is also pointed out by many other internet users of this village as a despicable racist.

She is easily recognisable as she runs, with her husband beside her, the resort on Watamu beach, in front of Love Island and the other splendid little islands; she is equally visible for her "blonde and magnificent" figure, all elegance, towering over the guests (who are moreover divided into 2 categories..... the first called the "welcome" guests, those who go on excursions organised by her, moreover paid for handsomely; the other category called the "unworthy" guests, those who, refusing to be lectured on the (according to her) dangers of organising the same excursions outside the village with the "Beach Boys" — who she says are violent, dangerous, unreliable, violent and also "BLACK").

The Beach Boys, lads who stay on the beach from morning to night to entertain us "muzungu" (white man), and to earn a living (very charmingly, by the way), sell necklaces, bracelets, earrings, statuettes and offer safaris and various trips in total safety, but at prices 40/50% lower than the "lady of the village", nicknamed MAMMAEURO for her greed. To all this I add that the day before my departure, when other guests arrived from Rome (not yet warned of the "dangers") and unwisely approached the Beach Boys on the beach for information and wholly friendly first contact, she rushed down to the beach and ordered her guards by radio to push them back to the water's edge (if I remember rightly, the term "water's edge" goes back to a speech by Benito M.).

At which point, after weeks full of other episodes of intolerance, I could no longer keep my anger inside me and, shouting, I approached the despicable person asking for an explanation of all this..... and I was invited to leave the resort if this behaviour did not suit me, because I was ignoring the rules concerning the distance to be kept from the locals — 30 metres from the resort — and that therefore I could absolutely not interfere with her work; and to my negative answer she turned to me saying she could not wait for my departure the following day. I should point out that not only did I not oblige her, accusing her above all of racist acts, but I inform you that in January I will return to Watamu and stay in the same village. Ah......yes...I forgot that for this despicable lady Africans are perhaps the equivalent of the animals in Kenya's parks.

Perhaps she thinks of the monkeys, I think of the lions; she thinks of herself as a gazelle, I think a snake — no offence to the snake..... Seeing is believing, even though I realise it is at the very least incredible to find nowadays a racist who hates people of colour and, not content, lives and "works" in Africa..... but..... evidently there is no limit to indecency, and in any case I wonder, and I ask her: "what the..........hell did you go to Kenya for if your way of managing life is devoted to racial hatred?? Well, if time is a gentleman I hope it will hurry to send you back to Italy so as to avoid further harm. Of course I remain available to anyone who would like to contact me personally, since these words of mine are certainly not enough to describe everything; and finally, if, as they say on the internet, capital letters mean a shout, well, I say: RACIST!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ciao! A gennaio allora ci vediamo lì! Conosciamo anche noi il ragazzo che è con te nella foto... mamma mia, quanta "palestra" faceva ogni giorno? Un grande ragazzo e con una dolcezza unica. Un grosso saluto, Elisa
