I have just returned from a 14-day trip to Kenya with my mum, precisely in Watamu. Splendid beach, crystal-clear sea, always accompanied by a warm sun that reinvigorates. We stayed in a private house recommended by our guide, Ziro Epson (known as avvocato Luca), a furnished studio 20 metres from the sea. From that strategic position, every morning we changed beach! He was completely at our disposal, organising our 2-day safari in Tsavo East Park (we saw lions, giraffes, elephants, zebras, wildebeest, cheetahs, crocodiles, giant iguana and many other animals); blue safari to Sardegna 2 with a stop at the coral reef; Marafa, the Kenyan canyon also known as Hell's Kitchen; Robinson Island and the golden beach, and the trips to Malindi both by day and by night.
Although we had a kitchen available, we always preferred to eat out, and here too Ziro was helpful, pointing out the places where it was better to eat and even coming with us. The budget wasn't very big, but we managed to do everything also because he offered us a really convenient package. He is an excellent guide, well-prepared and good company. If you are planning a trip to Kenya I highly recommend him! You can find him on facebook or by email: avvocato.luca@yahoo.com or talk to him directly (he speaks excellent Italian) at +254
