The story

A great base for reaching both Alexandria, Cairo and the Siwa Oasis. An area inhabited by semi-nomadic Bedouin that dramatically experienced the clash between the Italian-German armies and the Allies in 1942. On the Mediterranean Sea, decidedly beautiful even if often rough. We got on very well with Albatour, both for the hotel and for the guides they provided. For independent excursions, organise from Italy; on the spot it isn't easy to have and find contacts.
