This holiday was sought out in the name of relaxation and absolute rest. Cape Verde was suggested to us by several people as a nice holiday, while for others the trip wasn't worth it. Honestly, what I found was what I expected: as with Brazil, the sea isn't that of the Caribbean, but if you can handle yourself and manage to stay afloat there are no problems, and it's also fun to battle with the waves.... the beach is endless and only in front of the villages do you find “traffic”; for the rest you find only silence and tranquillity. The Cape Verdeans are fairly friendly and in any case if you say no to any of their offers they don't insist too much. You can do a couple of excursions but they're all about a couple of hours; only the tour of the whole island takes half a day.
