The story

Business trip for Marevero, the new Italian tour operator, staying at Iberostar. Both the resort and the magnificent Praia de Chaves with its dunes are beautiful. Boavista mostly offers immense beaches, deserts and ocean, little beach bars where you eat fresh lobster every day and small clubs that open only on Saturday nights and colour the Cape Verdean nightlife with their happy music. Since everything is imported, prices are roughly the same as in Italy and sometimes a little higher; fortunately the Chinese with their well-stocked little shops have arrived here too! The most beautiful places to see are absolutely the beach of Santa Monica, that of Santa Maria and the desert of Viana, UNESCO heritage sites.

Moreover, every month there are new events such as the migration of the whales about a month ago, beautiful to watch by catamaran in the middle of the ocean, or the laying of turtle eggs in this period in the Arvatao area, an almost magical spectacle. This then leads to the hatching of the eggs in September; I have not yet witnessed the event but I will absolutely try not to miss it! The climate is always stable and breezy, with temperatures ranging from 25 to 35 degrees. Unfortunately the rainy season lasts about a month and it is precisely in August.. this year it seems to have started late because the first intermittent 24-hour rain began after Ferragosto. I recommend this island to sports lovers who enjoy sea sports and to those who want to enjoy plenty of relaxation.
